Bruckner was born in Hollywood, California, to a Hungarian father and a Russian mother who have since divorced; her paternal grandfather was German. Her parents met in Hungary and immigrated to the U.S. in 1984 through a refugee camp in Italy. She has two sisters and a brother.

Bruckner speaks some Russian and is fluent in Hungarian, having grown up speaking the language. has been involved in dance, ballet, and tap since the age of five and initially wanted to pursue a career as a dancer. At the age of eight, Bruckner worked as a child model at the suggestion of her mother and also appeared in a beauty pageant. Bruckner grew up in the Los Feliz section of Los Angeles, California, until age five and then lived in Portland, Oregon, until age ten. She returned with her family to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career, moving to Burbank, California.

Bruckner (born August 16, 1985) is an American actress. She began acting on television in the late 1990s and has since appeared in seven films, including The Woods, Blue Car, and Murder By Numbers.

Bruckner began her career at age 11. She appeared in commercials, in a few television pilots, and on the daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful in 1999. At the age of 15, Bruckner got her first lead role in the independent film Blue Car (2002), in which she played a high school student involved in an affair with her teacher, played by David Strathairn. Film critic Roger Ebert wrote that Bruckner "negotiates this difficult script with complete conviction."Bruckner received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for "Best Female Lead" for the role.

In the 2000s, other minor roles in television and film followed, including roles in The Glass House (2001) and the thriller Murder by Numbers (2002), starring Sandra Bullock. Bruckner has appeared in episodes of the television series 24 and Alias. She starred in the horror films Venom (2005) and The Woods (2006). Also in 2006, she appeared in the drama Peaceful Warrior opposite Scott Mechlowicz and received a ShoWest Female Star of Tomorrow Award and played the lead role in Dreamland.

In 2007, Bruckner appeared in the horror/romance film Blood and Chocolate and later Say Hello to Stan Talmadge (2008), Kill Theory (2008), Vacancy 2: The First Cut (2009), and The Craigslist Killer (2011).

Watts's career began in Australian television, where she made brief appearances in commercials. The 1986 drama For Love Alone, set in the 1930s and based on Christina Stead's 1945 best-seller novel of the same name, marked her debut in film. The director John Duigan invited her to take a supporting role in his 1991 indie film, Flirting, during the 1989 premiere of Dead Calm, after a five years absence in film. She was starred opposite future Hollywood up-and-comers Nicole Kidman and Thandie Newton. The movie received critical acclaim and was featured on Roger Ebert's list of the 10 best movies of 1992. The same year, she took the part of Frances Heffernan, a girl who struggles to find friends behind the walls of a Sydney Catholic school, in the award winning mini-series^[18] Brides of Christ, and appeared in four episodes of Home and Away.In 1993 she appeared in another of Duigan's pictures, Wide Sargasso Sea.

The difficulty at finding agents, producers and directors during the transition from Australia to Los Angeles frustrated her initial efforts. Her financial situation led her to take a job out of the film industry, when experiencing problems like being unable to pay the rent of her apartment and losing her medical insurance. After a small role in the 1993 comedy picture Matinee, which featured John Goodman in the leading role, she landed the supporting role of "Jet Girl" in the futuristic 1995 film Tank Girl.

Throughout the rest of the decade, she took supporting roles on television, including the series Sleepwalkers, and numerous B-list productions, such Children of the Corn IV, in which children in a small town become possessed under the command of a wrongfully murdered child preacherand Bermuda Triangle, where she played a former documentary filmmaker who disappears in the Bermuda Triangle,. Much of her early career is filled with near misses in casting, as she was up for significant roles in films such as the 1997 The Postman and Meet the Parents, which eventually went to other actresses. In Dangerous Beauty, she played Giulia De Lezze. In 1999, she played Alice in the romantic comedy Strange Planet and the Texan student Holly Maddux in The Hunt For The Unicorn Killer.

Naomi Watts (born 28 September 1968) is a British actress. Watts began her career in Australian television, where she appeared in series such as Hey Dad..! (1990), Brides of Christ (1991), and Home and Away (1991). Her film debut was the 1986 drama For Love Alone. Her following portrayals included roles in B-class movies, such as the 1996 horror film Children of the Corn IV: The Gathering, as well as roles in television and independent films.

Watts gained critical acclaim following her work in David Lynch's 2001 psychological thriller Mulholland Drive, starring alongside Justin Theroux and Laura Harring. In 2006, Watts became a goodwill ambassador for Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, which helps to raise awareness of AIDS-related issues. She has participated in several fundraisers for the cause, and she is presented as an inaugural member of AIDS Red Ribbon Awards.

Reed was born in West Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of Cheryl Houston, a beautician, and Seth Reed, a set designer. She has an older brother, Nathan August Reed. Reed's father is Jewish and her mother, who is of Cherokee and Italian descent, is Christian; Reed was raised without religion, though she has described herself as "Jewish" grew up around Judaism (her brother had a Bar Mitzvah).

Reed has stated that her early home life was "complicated." Her parents divorced when she was two, and she grew up with her mother.

She became known in 2003, after the release of the film Thirteen, for which she co-wrote the screenplay. Reed has since appeared in several films, including Lords of Dogtown and Mini's Time. She also portrays Rosalie Hale in The Twilight Saga.

Reed and director Catherine Hardwicke finished the script for the semi-autobiographical film Thirteen in six days, a relatively short time for a Hollywood script to be written. Producers asked Reed to play a role in the film because they had trouble casting it, considering it an "uncomfortable" role for most young actresses. The film, starring Evan Rachel Wood, was released in 2003 with positive reviews, giving Reed some recognition in Hollywood as both an actress and a screenwriter.
